Ehopps float valve - anyone using it?

I am reworking my auto top off since my arrangement that runs through the Precision Marine kalkwasser reactor is refusing to work for me.

I am thinking about trying this float valve as a switch to trigger RO/DI supply since it is less expensive. Has anyone had any experience with it?

Thanks Bax - The second one has nice diagrams to go with it! On that second, the one thing that looks like a concern is that if the sump switch sticks then there is no back up and you can still flood the system with RO/DI right? Also, what do they use a maxijet 400 for topping off? That seems like a lot of flow for that.

I do like the aspect of having a controller geared just to top off.

Bob,

Are you talking about hooking your RO unit's output directly to your tank with a float switch to control it? I would recommend against it for 2 reasons if that were the case:
1) Cycling your RO unit on and off puts extra strain on the membrane and will let a measurable amount of TDS through.
2) Murphy's Law would be in you favor for flooding.

Bulkreefsupply used to sell a 2 valve DIY ATO kit but I couldn't find it on their site.
