Electronics (LED) help?

Know theres a few electronics types in here so I figured I’d dig for some help.

Here’s what I need to do.

I need to hook up a battery pack with an on/off switch. Pack needs to be 9-12v and is no problem, nor is the switch.

When the circuit is closed I need it to power a small bank of 5-6 LEDs wirelessly at a range of 10’.

I know there’s remote controls that do this. Wondering if I can modify the remote so it is ‘always on’ and then tie it into (slave it to) the battery pack switch.
I turn on the battery pack switch, the remote turns on the leds. I turn off the switch, the LEDs go off.

It cant be done through the remote for reasons. It needs to be fed by the opening and closing of the battery circuit.

Any thoughts or leads would be most apprecitaed.
