Emerald crab ... Bleaching??

My crab looks sort of like it's loosing it's color. Is this normal before it molts? I added it amidst a HA problem which seems under control with getting params in check. Anyway naked eye it looks like its green is fading but the pics show a different picture. It's either in poor health or some organisms eating away at its shell. Any thoughts?

In the category of “you are what you eat” I would think a “green” emerald crab (like the claw tips) is a healthy crab since they eat algae so – does the fact that I’ve been doing everything I can to eliminate all of the HA from the tank mean I’m starving the crab? I could put him in my fuge to snack on chaeto. Otherwise, if it is normal, is it a sign that crabby’s getting ready to molt?
