will you do automatic water changing? that would be so sweet. I don't have the room for it...

I am not sure. I had it set up in my last tank and it was nice.
But now I think it will be so easy just to do weekly water changes that it’s not worth it.
I was changing 2 gallons a day so weekly I was changing 14 gallons.

14 gallons is not a lot on a 210 gallon system. Especially when I add the frag tanks.

I ran air line and RODI tubes across the room in the ceiling just in case I change my mind.

are you using ecotechs? working on my flow today, I tried to cheap out until later - had a bunch of maxijet900s lol laying around but I can see I'm going to have to order some pumps tonight. right now just to move debris of the rear corners and walls I'm using these tiny sunsun jvp 120s. 4 to do that little job, I'll wire then on the same circuit with a master switch. I may stick with those if they work. you can't even see them, they are in the back wall by the floor hidden by rock.

for my main flow, I think I'm going to grab a jebao scp150 and maybe an slw30. my return is a dcp15000 but I need a second return for the refugium. I've got a sicce 4.0 but that's really just a back up pump. like to have another dc pump on the refugium return.

Nah I don’t pay that echotech tax. I use blue line As my returns. image.jpg

that thing is huge. I know my 20g long will be cramped as hell. I just want to fit socks, skimmer, bricks and return though lol.

my last one was a 60 long and just more space than I could even use.

It will fit. I have done a small system with a 20g long As a sump and it works. Nothing fancy but 4” socks holder/ Skimmer and return.

Yesterday was a slow day. So i was able to setup my apex. I still haven’t configured everything I just setup the basic.
I made a decision to reset everything and start all over. So the apex was set back to factory default.
the probes are all off because I can’t calibrate them at the moment because I don’t have the different calibration fluid for salinity and ph.
maybe during the week I can take a trip to the LFS

I had to stop plumbing yesterday. I couldn’t finish I needed some reducers and I need some more 1” pvc and Home Depot was closed. So today I have to go and see if I can finish. I am also in need of two 1” bulkheads.

I was also able to make the trip to
@DangerDave fish room and I pick up a few frags. His setup is very impressive and worth the drive. I will make another trip soon.

And last but not least I was also able to pick up 5 clownfish from @jhopiv. The fish have really nice coloring and are doing really good. If you need clowns for your new build you should definitely reach to him.

What type of clowns did you buy?
What type does he have?
System looks great that’s a lot of tanks and hardware.
