Forced Water Change

I was unfortunatley greeted this morning by my skimmer pumping as much water as it could onto the floor , . I had planned on a water change today so lucky I had some salt water mixing, not the right temp but it had to do . I also stripped the skimmer that I also planned to clean later today and cleaned it .

This is my first major problem of this type . What else should I do now ?? I will check water peramiters after the temp comes up to normal . Is there anything I am overlooking ??

By the way it was the coral life skimmer, worked great and produced a lot of skimate ,no problems until now . I will take the blame, I probably should of cleaned it yesterday ;D .

Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks Paul

I finally get everything back to normal and my clown decides to jump into the overflow . Just one of those days . ???

I'VE HEARD AS MUCH GOOD PRESS AS BAD PRESS ABOUT THOSE CORAL LIFE SKIMMERS, I LOOKED INTO ONE OF THOSE BUT WENT WITH THE OCTOPUS BF-100H THE ONE WITH THE INTERNAL PUMP, ACTS QUIRKY SOMETIMES, BUT IT'S PRETTY RELIABLE. BY THE WAY WHAT'S UP DUDE? I MET YOU AT PNOY'S HOUSE A COUPLE WEEKS BACK, IT WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE CORAL PURCHASING TRIP I'VE EVER TAKEN, CAUSE I TOTALLED MY FIANCEE'S CAR ON THE WAY BACK.... MAKES THE CLOWN IN THE OVERFLOW SEEM MINOR RIGHT? LOL GOOD LOCK WITH THAT, TRY COVERING IT WITH SOME EGG CRATE
