Theres a few different ways. Depending what you want to do with it. If you just want more on your rock. Slice the shroom in half, right thru the mouth, put it in a med. flow so it don't heal back together.
If you want to take the whole thing off the rock, theres 2 ways of doing that.
1: Slice the shroom off at the base with a razor blade.
2: Use a dremil and slice below the base, keeping some of the rock attached to the shroom, this way it will be easier to glue the rock to something else.
you can either remove them with a small piece of the rock attached
use a dremmelto cut the rock from under it if you can(out of the water of course )
or cut the stalk close to the bottom and let it sit on the sand for a few days. it will attach tothe sand and then you can glue the sandy "crust" to another rock or frag plug.
if you want to frag further cut it into small pieces using a single edge razor and then attach the cuttings to a rock with a piece of wedding veil and a rubber band.

ps: dont be affraid to cut them , i have seen them fragged using a blender and saltwater and then put in a tank with rubble rock, a few weeks later there were 30-40 very small shrooms in there. ( i know............sounds like something Dr Frankinstein would do but it worked )
Mushroom looks pretty sad. Closed up really small when being sliced off the rock. Mushroom doesn't look too good right now. Currently sitting on top of the sand in hopes that it will crust onto it.
Looks like Al should have done a fragging demo at the June meeting. Thanks for the info. I have a bunch of shrooms to remove soon so it will come in handy. What do you think is the best way to kill off the piece's of stalk that remain? I would imagine they would grow back into more shrooms wouldn't they?
sorry rich....i didnt realize so many people would want info on fragging shrooms, otherwise i would have.
i have never tried to get rid of the stalks that are left on the rock when fragging because i just let them grow back to be able to frag again in the future..
i have heard that some people have used a high dose of kalk injected with a seringe to kill off unwanted shrooms but i have not tried it myself .
instead of killing them off...you could try to scrape them with a razor, making shure to remove all the base that is attached to the rock........gl and if you need any other help ,just ask.
