Getting mushrooms off the rock

What is the best approach to getting an abundant amount of green mushrooms off of some LR? I know I can stick it in some freshwater for a bit, but I have so many little feather dusters and sponges on the LR as well and I dont want to hurt them.

Those aipstia zappers are excellent at getting mushrooms off of rocks. See if you can borrow one, they are expensive and they actually do not help with aipstia.
