Giant Hermit Baby

Anyone interested for a species only tank? Got. Mix of hermits from reefcleaners Nd this baby monster was in there. Located in 07724.


Species is Petrochirus diogenes

How'd the RC order do?
Last I ordered alone I received a 100% death shipment.
Last club order we had about 10 of us and I don't think anyone was satisfied with the order, many didn't even get a live animal.
Would be nice to know if they're getting back to reliability.

I order from them all the time. Never had too many issues. A couple of dead snails that's really it.

So I am going back and forth with the ID here. Based on the striped pattern on the legs I think it could possibly be a starry eye hermit.

How big would the tank need to be? I'm having trouble coming up with anything useful about giants via the google....

Some site said they get to be a foot long + shell difference, and needs a 75g. Opportunistic eaters so anything is in the menu for them.

Still have the little bugger. Hasnt messed with anything yet. He is going to Jenkinsons Aquarium.
