Goby and Shrimp Pairs

I would like to get a goby for my tank. I've read on here that they like to pair with "Pistol Shrimp."

I have a "Cleaner Shrimp" in the tank. Would a Goby go with it? And if so, what type do you recommend?

I am a newbie. Any help you can provide would be great! I love my new tank!

i don't think that works. pistol shrimps are blind and they depend on the goby to guard their shared burrow. i recently got a pistol shrimp and it paired up right away with a yellow shrimp goby. anyway, the cleaner shrimp or any other shrimp species will likely not want to bond with the goby. i don't think the "bond" is there between any other shrimp and shrimp goby. also, i don't think the other shrimps dig and burrow nearly as much as a pistol which is the sole purpose why i think they bond as they mutually benefit.

Can I get a Pistol Shrimp and Goby for my tank? Will my Cleaner Shrimp be OK with it? Are they hostile?

i'm sure someone else can comment. i don't have any other shrimp than the pistol so i can't say whether they get along with other shrimps. i saw in someone else's posting that there is a pecking order on shrimps as they can get into fights and predation with/among one another.

I don't think there will be a problem with those shrimp together.. Just don't get a lobster or there will be casualties and it won't be the lobster

This is so cool!

What do the Goby and the Pistol Shrimp eat? Don't they eat the food that falls to the bottom? I've seen the Cleaner Shrimp do that -- but my SeBae's eat like pigs! They rarely let food slip past. . .
