Folks, if you've recently upgraded or renewed your annual club membership but it's still not active, please reach out to the BOD or a moderator. The PayPal system has a slight bug which it doesn't allow it to activate the account on it's own.
Gonis/Alvis tend to last 6-12 months and then die off.
I've had very good success with them, though. The cultured colored ones are much easier to take care of, generally. Mine always loved to eat cyclops. Use a pipette to feed the heads very slowlyyyy so they don't retract right away.
They should take cyclops, rotifers, etc. as long as they are finely, finely chopped up and ground up.
I have a red goni I picked up at last years (07's) frag swap ,It is doing really well,I dont spot feed it. I keep it in a slightly shaded area in mod flow .
qwik....can you post a pic of it? Has it grown any? I'm suspecting there must be something else to success of these things since they are fully photosynthetic.
Ill gfet a pic up as soon as I can . I know they are supposed to be tricky to keep but I have haad it and it has lasted through a few mistakes of mine . I have no idea how I am keeping it alive, just happy I am .

Search on RC for posts by JeNnKerry -- they have had amazing success with gonis. When I had one in my old tank I read just about everything they had posted about them (which is a lot!)
