Gonipora bleached

Had this goni in my tank for months and about a month ago i woke up and it was bleached. Thought it was dead but noticed some extention and still had some red to it. I was going to move it but it has a ton of feather dusters on it.
Should I just leave it be? The rest of my corals are fine.. Just randomly bleached

There are a bunch of flatworms on it. More then likely if your parameters are good then the flatworms fed on the zooxanthellae in the goni.

Update on flatworms. Went to reefco to get flatworm exit but suggested a wrasse first. They only had big melanarus so im going to wait till next week they're going to try to get a 6 line in. I tried sucking some off the fether duster before I left. When I got home they all pretty much moved except for a few that I was able to get. I only saw 1 small one on another rock. Least I think it was one. I sucked it up. Tomorrow will be another day lol

6 lines are quite aggressive.. having had both, i definitely recommend a melanarus over a 6line.. the melanarus is more colorful too.
don't forget to get a lid in case you dont already have one.. mine eventually jumped out

i've had goni bleach before and recover. moved it to low light and low flow area and it took about 2 to 3 months to rebound. i've also had one goni frag bleach that did not recover with the same approach.

i've also dealt with flatworms before and agree with six-line or melanurus wrasse. i've also vacuume them out with a piece of airline tubing and a filter sock on the output end, so you can just return the water to the aquarium. a small hard piece of air tubing on the business end of the tubing helps get in hard to reach spots and with accuracy. be careful around the corals though, i'd dip the coral rather than try to suck the worms off and leave the vacuuming to glass and substrate.

good luck!

Appreciate the info. I moved the goni to lower light and flow. 2 huge feather dusters came for the ride lol

I setup a QT for the 6line. Reefco said theyre getting some in Wednesday
, but probably make it out there Friday. I dipped some corals in RODI for a few seconds and I did notice tiny ones hiding out. I know some say not to dip in rodi, but the lps seemed to take it just fine.
