Greenwich Aquaria - WOW!

Only about an hour or so north of northern NJ, it’s worth the trip to Greenwich Aquaria. Surrounded by Starbucks, fancy antique shops and jewelry stores, you’ll find this ‘gem’ of a fish store. I’d give anything for a fish room like this – like walking into a livingroom full of perfect tanks, perfectly lighted that simply sparkle! Just amazing. Really. The cabinetry alone is worth admiring. Spoke to a gentleman named Rob, very knowledgeable and happy to hear we drove up from NJ – offered us a special discount that they run on Sundays (we were there on a Saturday). They had some oddball stuff, including a Brazilian Lookdown (with the long streamers) and just a small section of freshwater (but had a cool pig nose puffer). Their display reef is … again, just amazing. No dry goods or accessories really, just very very very wonderful fish, corals and eye candy!

Do stop by if you’re up that way … House of Fins is also in the area, that’s another quickie review I’ll post soon.

Very nice store when I visited.

Problem is, they outprice Trop by a good amount on some things. Obviously because they are in Greenwich, but it was much more of a "window shop" trip by me!

Gorgeous store, though. Definitely worth a visit (especially if you live close to it or are passing by it).
