When I do WC I attach pen tube (about 1/4" diam) to a working end of hose, then as HA get's sucked in, I press my finger agains the tube to hold HA in and pull it out (just suction of water is not enouph to rip it).

What I'm thinking is to modify it somehow to allow plucking in hard to reach places (where tube + my hand will not fit).

Possibly this device already exists.

Any ideas?

I drilled a hole in the back of a toothbrush and epoxied in an elbow and hooked a small section of 3/8 vinyl tubing to it. Then slipped 1/2 vinyl tubing over the 3/8 to help increase the suction. The 1/2 tubing runs through a UV filter and into a perforated speciman container lined with filter sock hanging on the side of the sump.

With this contraption you scrub & suck to your hearts content without worrying about over flowing a bucket onto your floor.
