help i maimed my hammer coral and bits of it are floating

well, i just got a gigantic hammer with many heads and the thing slipped in my hand as i was putting it into the tank and i smeared it all over my hand. Now after i put it in there are little bits of tentacles floating around the powerheads. Is this going to kill my other corals?!

Yes, they can still sting other corals. My frogspawn had a tentacle float around the tank and it landed on an acro an burnt the area that it landed on. If the stung coral is healthy it will recover.

It will Recover fine .Don't Panic you just did some small Fragging LOL .I would Tie them Down to small Pieaces of PVC or small Live Rock if you can use a rubber band .I few years ago I accidentally Hit My Frogspawn with my Algae scrapper I thought I killed it .Wouldn't you know I ended up getting three Pieace out of one and sold two.I would get any tiny pieaces you cant tie down though.
