Help me identify this..

For some reason I've never seen this algae(?) before- not in any of my tanks or any message boards. Should I be happy that it is growing on the very bottom of my reef or is it the type of algae that reduces grown reefers to tears?

I actually have seen it and people will pay good money for it. I have to find the link for it. It was either on nano-reef or reef central.. But yeah, people like that...

I believe this to be "Neomeris annulata". (Here's a link: http://www.melevsreef.com/id/algae.html) I've got quite a bit of it growing in my tank and like it.

Ahhhh.. I knew I saw it somewhere.. I was just there looking up the fix for billy and his worms. I thought I saw it elsewhere. Nice find JW! Good stuff...
