I've been trying to entice my Mandarin Goby to eat with some fish roe. I put a glass dish in the tank and then drop the eggs into the dish with a baster. They sink and pretty much stay put until he eats them, or at least that was the plan. For the last 3 days, I've come back into the room only to find that an enterprising hermit crab has figured out there's food in that bowl and if he takes a swan dive off the rocks at exactly the right spot - he lands in hermie heaven. I can tell it's the same crab by the markings on his shell. He can't get back out again, but I guess that doesn't bother him, as sooner or later I'll come along an fish him out. There's not enough room to move the bowl, so I guess I'll have to come up with something else.
