how quick should phosban decrease my phosphates level

Phosphates were up to .25 (had never checked them till last night). Chris from OGII suggested phosban. For my 14g I put in 10g (cause I think that's about how much water it actually holds). So how quick should I notice a drop and how long do I leave it in? thx.

i would like to use phosban too w/ a reactor but dont know how much I should use and for how long? I have a 50ga thinking of using a TLF Reactor.

At that size tank - I would consider increasing the frequency of water changes. Even if you did add phosban - is there a place you can DIY a HOB set up? or are you going to get a TLF reactor? I just think a reactor on a 14G seems like overkill.

Wasn't planning on going the reactor route. I currently have it tossed in the middle back chamber (it's the all in one biocube 14g with 3 back chambers). The chamber it's in is between a chamber that has a heater and the chamber that has the pump.

I would keep up on the water changes and that will help get the phosphates down, and the phosban will also slowly help it get lower and once its at 0, it will become a preventative measure. I have mine in the phosban reactor and usually leave it in for a few months until i change it.

I believe it takes a couple weeks to start really making a difference... As mentioned above i'd keep doing water changes until your testing comes back ok.... Anyone try putting phosban in the oven to dry it out and use it again??
