How to build a concrete stand

Does anyone have any experience in building concrete furniture or countertops? There are places that build beautiful countertops, table tops, furniture out of concrete & I'd like to build a stand that is basically skinned of concrete / made of it for a custom acrylic tank shaped like a triangle for a mantis shrimp / macro tank. Kind of looking if anyone has any suggestions on the best way to build it, I'll be googling it in a sec but if someone in NJ has made one I'd like to know personal experience.

i haven't made a stand out of concrete, but i've poured alot of concrete. it would be easy to make a stand. you'd just have to build forms out of wood to shape it and use 400psi mix with pea gravel. strip the form early and parge the flaws.

depending on what you wanted to do with it, you could make it look very nice. not industrial at all. actually, a big thing now is concrete countertops. they are very sharp looking, and look nothing like a piece of sidewalk on your cabinets!

you can also add dye to it, but you definitely want to get it real smooth with a steel trowel then possibly wet sand it to a polish.

I'm saying that because you'd prob be better off making the stand out of block the and putting whatever kind of finish on it you like... Tile, stone, plaster, stucco. Would be easy all you have to do is stack the block how you want. Or you could just make a wood stand and get stone, granite, limestone, marble or whatever kind of panels you want made to the exact size of the stand. Just like how you do a shower surround
