HQIs -150s compared to 250s for SPS growth

Sup guys, I'm looking for experienced opinions on this.

I have a 90 gallon with 2-150 Hqi and 2-130 Dual actinics with my SPS mounted high in the tank. I'm getting steady growth but i allways ask myself, what if I had 250s?

I see that plenty of people grow SPS with T-5s, & VHO. And they seem to grow very well.

Is there a huge difference in growth with 250s? Some people just say "with 250s you can mount SPS anywhere in the tank". So, what happens with light sensitive corals then?

My water chemistry is the following:
Nitrates- 0
Phosphates-0
Dkh- 9.8
pH- 8.4
Mg- 1400 ro/di
I feed twice a week with cyclops ease (frozen)
Dose with two part daily (B-ionic)
Dose with Iodine and strontium once weekly

The growth will increase with more watts. You will see a difference if you switch to 10k also if you dont use them.

With 2 - 250's you will have a lot of light for a 90g. Yes, You could put SPS just about anywhere with that wattage. You will also generate a lot of heat as well. So, keep that in mind.

Also be prepared to move some stuff around until it get acclimated to the new light...or instead of moving stuff around, you could layer a few sheets of egg crate on the top of the tank and remove them one by one over a month or so.
