info needed to set up 10g reef

Hello Everybody,



I am starting up a 10g reef tank can anybody give me an info or advice ....

Lighting:

20" Aqualight
Single Linear Strip Light
(28W Total)

Filter:

Via Aqua Multi-Skimmer w/5watts UV
or
Skilter filter by marineland

and also for cycling
can i mix live sand w/ regular sand from pet stores
and Live Rock w/ Lava Rock

You can do all of the above.
I would stay away from skilter filters very very LOUD.....

aqua c hang on back. a little pricey ($158) but so much more efficient than any skimmer I've ever had. I have the the aqua c urchin in my sump, and I get about 1 cup/week of brown sludge.

i would go with the coralife powerquad light instead will give you the light to do almost any type of corals even easy SPS such as moti's and digi's

also go with a aqua clear 300 or 500 and make a fuge out of it

skimmer i would use a prizm or something in the lines of that type

that would all give you good flow and filtration
