Well my kole tang killed himself yesterday. I don't think he was very smart and we named him Schiz see he was so nutty. He has always liked to charge into the foxface. He didn't do it aggressively so I never really did anything about it. Most of the time it was just a tail smack and the foxface usually didn't care.
Well I turned away from the tank for a second yesterday and when I turned around again the foxface had gone into camo-mode hidden with his spikes out and his face was very pail. The kole tang started getting pale and laying on his side and panting and eventually stopped breathing and died within a minute or two. When I pulled him out he has a gash near his mouth from the foxface's spines.
Is it common for stupid fish to kill themselves on a foxface's spines? I figured as a fish if you saw big spines flair up you would stay back. So I guess I can caulk that up as another lesson learned. Crazy fish and foxfaces don't mix.
