Verona woman busted in Jersey City after skipping over 500 tolls, police say

I saw this earlier. I believe I heard about a person owing upwards of $50k in another article. I don't get how it can get that far. I parked for 10 minutes while working where I could see my truck and the officer could see me. He saw me walk to my truck for tool a few times and when my back was turned, boom ticket. To ring up that many unpaid tolls I would assume it took a while.

Once they start fining you etc that bill runs up quick

There was a guy who got nailed for skipping 580 tolls racking up the 50K.

My ezpass didn't read at a 40 cent toll and within a week I had my fine in the mail. I had just gotten the car and had temp tags. It makes me wonder how she was able to get away with this.
