I purchased 2 48” blue 470nm bars off ebay and have been using them now for months..one of the first things I did was remove the lenses.they left the tank with a very weird look.they look and work great without them!you can not beat the functionality or the price of these.they look just like reefbreeders, except 1/4 the price. I have another one of these lights on it’s way to put over my 36” Frag tank.
I decided I wanted to add some different wavelength LEDs onto the bars just like Orphek; reefbrite,and reefbreeders does. So today I swapped out some 470nm and put some 440nm and 430nm...I cannot discern either from my eyeball.but I have some ultraviolet LEDs on the way, and I will be swapping some of them
On all 3 of my Led bars.
I paid $65 for each 48” light on ebay
20 LED COB for 3.68
36” light was $40off eBay as well.
20 LED COB ultraviolet $17
im sure I could have made this from scratch, but it’s cheap And easy enough just to swap out the LEDs for any combination you Like.
