Lighting for an Oceanic tank???

Hey All, marine Newbie here...

I want to upgrade my lighting to Metal halides but I hit a bit of a snag. I have a 110 gallon Oceanic tank and it has a center brace made of THICK glass about 18" long. The tank is 60" so if I buy a 60" fixture the center halide light falls directly over the center brace. I am considering just buying two 30" fixtures to solve the problem but the combination of the two smaller fixtures will give me two halide lights while the 60" fixture has three halide lights.
Any suggestions?

I had the same tank setup.
I used only 2 MH retro's. One on each side. My rock work was an island on each side of the tank with a shelf rock with zoos on the top connecting the 2 piles of rock work. It looked fantastic.
