Lighting Quick Q

you should be looking for something around 5-8 watts per gallon for the halide lights. for a 10 gallon tank you can get a 70 halide pendent kit (I think Icecap makes a nice set). You can use the T5s but you just won't see the colors you will with the Halide (in my opinion anyway, I know others will disagree).

K-2 Viper has 70 watt clamp on with a 70 watt 14,000K hqi with an external ballast....
Petsolutions.com has a decent price for it around 170.00
That might work perfectly for you....

Those lights will be overkill and you will spend a fortune on them. You can always look at nanocustoms.com or nanotuners.com if you are looking for a full setup. If you have the tank and stand already petstore.com or marinedepot.com

150w would be fine over a 10g. I have a 70w over my 10g and I wish I got the 150w b/c the bulb selection is sooooooo much better than the 70w. If I had to do it allover again I would of never gotten the 70watt.

So i actually ended up ordering 24 inch t5's. I decided not to spend nearly 300 dollars for lights. I'm sure these will be more than ample for a 10 g. Thanks everyone for your help.
