Lighting schedule

I am running power compacts on my 72 gal mixed reef. Right now i have both the actinic and other lights running together and after they go off the lunar light for 3 hours.

Is there any benefit to running the actinic and daylights seperate? I theiL the daylights are 10k not sure will look when i get home.

any suggestions welcomed

only reason to run them separate is to start them a little earlier than the whites - to give the fish a chance to adjust. If you have lunars then it's not as important at night but similarly you could run the actinics an extra 30 minutes before switching to lunars.

it so you dont shock the fish with the lights going on and off
my schedule
10 am acticnic on
11 am 10,000k daylight on
7pm 10,000k off
8pm acticnic off
8-12pm lunar on and off

its always a good idea to let the fish adjust to the light. i know of fish that jumped when the lights come on right away.
