just like the title says looking for something that would work well for lps and sps on a 120 and do you think a 8 bulb t-5 setup would be enough...

More than enough. :) Are you looking to buy used or new? Are you looking for a fixture or retro?

I use 8 X 80Watts T5s on my 180, and I have zero problems growing anything, including clams on the sandbed (Maxima & Crocea).

well both units will be used my main question is they are both the nova extreme but one has a single reflector and the other has individual reflectors.. my mian concern is trying to cut down on bills while i go through NEW JERSEY DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS ACADEMY BEING THEY ONLY PAY 300.00 A WEEK which is for 3 months i need to try and trade my 2-150 halide and 2 96 watt pc for a new or used 4 or 8 bulbt-5 unit if you know of anyone wendy lmk but i would replace both units bulb fixture to meet my needs just need to kno what type of bulbs i should put in my single reflector and single reflector per bulb

Let me see if I get this straight:

You are currently running 2 X 150W MH + 2 X 96W PCs, with a total of 491Watts, correct?

If you use 8 X 54W T5s, you'll be using 432Watts.

How much money could you possibly be saving by reducing 59 Watts? ???

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my T5s, but if you're doing it to save money, then I don't think the entire switcheroo-process will be worth it, especially since you're going to have to buy 8 light bulbs. (Each one is right around $20)

CONGRATS for making it into the Academy. Will you have to live there for 3 months?
