lost or dead cleaner shrimp

tank over 1.5 yaers old had 2 cleaner shrimp ,no fish addons in a few months.have a few corals ,duncan,frogspawn ,zoas ,hammer candy canes .
Fish yellow tang,clarki,scotter blemys,sailfin tang.and a black urchin ..
duncan is only new addition . I think culprit is either duncan or urchin ??duncan was closed ttight for 3 days! No other problems in tank.

it could of have just molted and hid itself. those things can hide pretty well after a molt session. lol give it a couple of days, it could turn up again.

How big was the cleaner?
i can't see a Duncan being able to eat a cleaner shrimp even a tiny one..

they were aprox 1.5 / 2.0 inches and have not seen any molting

When did u see him last? Mine disappear for a week when they molt if not more.

lost 1 about 1.5 weeks ago and last sighting of #2 was on wednesday night

last night found 1 cleaner when light went out . still wondering about other one . Plus these guys were always out during the day??

They do better in pairs and are more adventurous when in pairs. Now that the one is a single it might not come out as much. Give it time though, as monroereefer said it might have just been a molt and they take a little time for their shells to harden and then venture back out.
