Corect. There isn't anything that will eat any of the calcerous macro algaes. Only way is manual removal.
 
Actually, you are not too bad off. Halmedia is rather easily removed. Some people even like a little bit of it in their tank.

Before Chaetomorphia became the "in macro algae" for refugiums, Halmedia was considered desirable.
 
yeah i kinda like the way it looks but i am starting to see it sprouting up in to many places.

does it suck up alot of calcium, enough to make a dent in my cal levels?

if kept in control, not too bad. When they start growing all over the place, yes they will. Manual removal is pretty easy though, but I've had some Halimeda before too and they just kind of die off after a little while.
