Bob, I don't think that the Macro/Zoom lens being offered there gives you the capabilities that you're looking for. You're better off, IMO with a dedicated, fixed focal length lens. While Sigma & Tamron make admirable lenses, that lens is not one I see touted as being "as good as Nikon". I'd pass on this one (again, if I ran into it).
