Magnesium reading

Would a Magnesium reading of 1200 cause my CA and Alk not to raise? I'm having a hard time bringing them up. I'm using 2 part with no success.

ca = 350
alk = 5.5
mg = 1200

I would think you should be able to get much better numbers with mag at 1200. Use the two part only to maintain. Supplement individually to bring each part up to where it should be.

You should be able to get Ca to 1/3 of your mag reading, or 400 (roughly speaking, of course). You might not be dosing enough 2 part to see the increases you're looking for over the utilization.

It wouldn't hurt to raise the Mg.

Given the margin for error in most of our testing; if your Mg is reading higher than actual and your Ca is on the low end, you may have reached the max possible.
