Manhattan Aquarium - worth the trip into NYC ...

Hey, in case you missed the quick review I just posted ... went to Manhattan Aquarium (NYC) today, nice place! Free parking in NYC, can't beat that! And, if you take the bus - it's walking distance from Port Authority (near Javits Center). Ok - the store was A+ beautiful! Plenty of everything ... more on the coral, less on fish ... but lots of rare examples. It's not the kind of place you'd go to buy filter media or a bucket of salt ...

Very very nice staff. Worth the trip into the city ...

I agree 100% with you Sandee, well worth the trip. We went on the way home from a yankees game, and just hopped on the Lincoln tunnel on the way out. The coral there are amazing.

On my way to visit family in the city - we stopped by here last month. I mentioned this in my tale but forgot to post here.

Unfortunately they were right in the middle of construction and they were cutting this tank horizonally in half (using sandee's pic) to make a shallow frag tank:

I forgot my camera otherwise I would have taken a pic of the sharks and stingrays my daughter enjoyed.

I will be back as I still have my gift card I own from MACNA. I couldn't decide on what to purchase...lol!

One big plus I liked about this store was that every single tank that had stuff for sale had a clear label with a price on it. Even the coral frags and colonies were neatly lined up and labeled.
