unfortunately manufacturer ratings are over-stated and to make matters worse the Sea Clone is about as bare bones a piece of equipment as you can buy. The classic "you get what you paid for" applies.
That stated - to obtain a consistent froth - you need to ensure that a) you're not sticking your bare hands in the tank; b) the salinity in your tank is reading correctly (with a refractometer).
Good luck...you're going to need it with that skimmer.
