To feed or not to feed. Seems to me less is better. Is it common for say a frfogspawn to stay "small" for a day or two after feeding?

I believe it is better to feed, of course there are corals you don't need to feed but it is natural for them to feed. Usually my corals don't stay small for long. Could be you are feeding too large pieces of food?

I usually just shoot some mysis or brine and let the fish clean up. Tried dts but that seemed to irritate the lps. I do alot of reading with many conflicting opinions. How big should say chopped shrimp be? Thx

I think what JR was getting at is that some people think the bigger the piece of coral/anem the bigger the food should be. The corals can eat the bigger pieces but it can really harm them or even kill them as it is harder to digest/expel waste. Mysis and brine are good sized, when I had frogspawn I tried to target them a few times a week and had no problems.

Mysis or brine shouldn't be an issue at all. Shrimp have to be fairly small, figure the mouth on a frogspawn 3-5MM so mysis is great size. I know they can take larger pieces, I feed krill fairly often breaking one krill into 4-5 pieces maybe.

Another issue is how much flow do they have?

moderate at the bottom and middle, harder at top. Gonna get a cap and didgi and give ir a try cause my calciul/mag is very high. don't know why. dkh in line. using oceanic natural salt 8 bulb t5 on a 46 gal. bow. Spsp should thrive but we'll see. thx

I have never target fed any of my corals and growth has never been an issue, They allways get plenty big. I think the extra food the fish don't eat and any waist they produce is enough.
