Mounting Aqua Controller Jr

I am trying to mount my Aqua controller jr to a piece of plywood. I do not have the option of mounting it to a canopy or stand. It does not come with a hole in the back to mount on a screw and hang like a picture frame or power strip. I dont feel confident only using the velcro they supplied me with since it is pretty moist in the basement (i already have a dehumidfier running). My sump is only a foot to the side and couple feet down so if the velcro tape didnt hold, it would go into my sump. I was curious if there were any geniuses here who figured out another way to mount it, cause its been 2 hours and I am stumped. I do not want to block the buttons or screen so zip ties are out of the question (for now).

The biotherm in the photo is being used on my freshwater tank.

You could always get some flush mount coat hooks and hang it on them. I did that with mine, only the hooks I got hang on my cabinet door.

We used zip ties and screwed them to the plywood. You have to do it in such a way that you can get it out though so that you can move it to make changes to the program.

I was thinking about doing the coat hanger idea with L brackets screwed into the plywood since i have nothing for the hangers to hang on. The zipties screwed to the plywood makes me nervous.

I had my Tunze controller atached to the wall by HD double sided tape when I went to sell it I could hardly get it off the wall.
This time I would use HD Velcro that way it would come off easier

Tom, I used the velcro and that thing is strong. Sometimes I can't even get it off the wood because it's so strong. I wouldn't worry about it.

Velcro connection in itself will be allways sufficiently strong. However, if you do not trust their supplied velcro you have several options:
- buy industrial strength velcro in HD or such.
- if your main concern is the quality of the glue used to attach velcro to the controler and wall, then use your own glue. You can allways find velcro without glue on the back, and then you can use any glue of your choice or any fastener for the velcro-wall connection.
- if you are worried about the fuzzy stuff loosing its effectiveness, there are other types of "velcro". The most amazing (IMHO) is the one used for mounting EZ-Pass :)

last night i glued the velcro to the wood, and havent been down there yet. im going to the store to pick up L brackets. thanks to everyone for their quick responses

I had problems initially with the strip holding to plywood stand and solved it with glue as well. Works fine.

I've seen these and they look pretty cool. I don't think they will mount with Pro 3 based on the guys comments on his Ebay page. Please let me know if you are making them. Depending on the style I would most likely be interested.
