Mr. Coral (Sonny Rocks, Fedex not so much)

Placed an order with Sonny during one of his big sales. Great prices, great frags, free rics, free shipping.

Short story:

Fedex Ground messed up delivery. Package was on truck all day and driver decided not to deliver until the next afternoon (with nice wintery conditions). Temp of package was about 52 degrees. 3 DOA, other 2 frags died a day later.

Sonny credited me and sent replacements. Not the same frags but equally impressive. Sent fedex standard and this time picked up from local office.
 
Picking up is smart....I remember BlueZoo would only guarantee if you picked up at FedEx store. Little more of a pain but much safer.

I had almost the same exact thing happen to me. I put in for the same order, got an acan and a free ric. I swung by from work around the delivery time to find nothing, checked with Fedex and they could not find my address EVEN THOUGH I HAVE ORDERED FROM SONNY NOT ONE MONTH BEFORE. I called in and they said it would be delivered the next day, after explaining to them that it was live coral they did get it to me later on that night. I got the acan in the tank but there was some skeleton showing and stuff floating in the bag. The ric is doing fine, and the acan is getting better but not what I expected. I don't like to be able to see skeleton on a new acan especially when the retail for 150$. I did not tell sonny, I don't blame him at all and hopefully the acan will recover soon enough.
 
Well longer story is I originally tried to pickup from FedEx but since it was sent FedEx ground, it went to some facility 15 miles away instead of 2. I called as soon as the office opened and they said FedEx and FedEx ground are two separate companies (!?) I worried that the package was on truck since 6 AM and tried to get him to return to office or tell me status. They kept saying they had no way to contact driver. I put in about 6 calls to fedex from 3PM onwards and at 8:30, I let Sonny know what had happened. The update on Fedex's site changed to "customer rescheduled delivery." I did no such thing. There was no inclement weather that day. You would think the driver would have dropped it first thing in the morning but he didn't deliver the package till 2:30 PM and it was sleeting. He didn't ring the bell and just left in my driveway. I got the update an hour later and looked outside and it was there. I've had real spotty servie from Fedex the last few times and definitely prefer UPS for packages (maybe it's cause it's always the same driver for me).

Anyway, the point was......Sonny went out of his way to correct the problem. It's easy to have a good review when things go as planned. The true test is when things go awry and here Sonny gets my recommendation.

I agree with you calaxa, I will keep ordering from Sonny and the acan I got is beyond beautiful. However, I just wanted to chime in and make sure you track fed ex delivery all day long to make sure they don't screw up your order.

Agree with you on UPS mostly because they do packages better. Fedex is better for letters/parcels. Just my experience....there was a thread not too long on this.
