First Full Tank Shot

Lights just came on about 30 mins ago and happy to report that all corals and fish are doing great. I have been slowly increasing in the intensity on the leds and right now I am at 25% white and 55% all other colors with the t5's running a total of 3 hrs a day. I will increase that another 15 mins this week.

I need to stop taking pictures with my cell phone and start using the regular camera

The purple in my sps is finally starting to come back after having some po4 issues in the 80g tank that they were in before moving over to the new tank. These pictures were taken with the standard lens (need to get a macro) on my EOS digital camera during the sunset period for the light. Some were take at the beginning of sunset and others were taken about half way thru sunset. I took a lot of pictures that will be used for month over month comparison shots.

Misc Updates....

I am finally getting the odds and ends finished in the fish room.

I moved the 80g frag tank over to its new home and tied into the system. For now it will be a new fish holding tank and then slowly transition over to a true frag tank. I am thinking about selling my t5's and go with something a little less powerful. 8 t5's over a 16" deep tank is a little too much. I did paint the back and bottom of the tank black. I am thinking about covering the side panel as well to limit light spilling into the sump.

The water storage tanks have been moved to their permanent spot and I was able to fix the leak from the fittings into the bulkheads of the container. I will use the old stand that I built for the frag tank as a work bench once I get a piece of plywood for it.

Heat in the fish room is becoming an issue as temps in the room are hitting 79 degrees and the tank is hitting 80. Since this is only May, I am working on better exhaust and possible portable ac units for the room.

New Additions and Pictures

So thanks to my good friends at Aquatic Obsessions in Avenel, NJ I made a few new additions to the tank yesterday. I picked up a pair of Japanese Swallow Tail Angels and a trio of Bimac Anthias. I spent some time this afternoon reading the owners manual for my camera and played around with some of the settings tonight. I was able to take some nice pictures of the Angels and some of the corals. The Bimacs are still a little camera shy.

Enjoy the pictures.......

Steve, looking phenomenal….the fish, corals and clam! Love those angels.

I also like the clean look of your water storage containers. Where did you them?

Thanks Paul. I got the tanks from tankdepot.com. The service was great and I had the tanks 3 days after I ordered them. Only downside....shipping costs. When the tanks get bigger than 50g they can't use UPS and the shipping costs really take a jump. I looked around locally and had a hard time finding what I wanted.

Those swallowtails are awesome. I stopped by AO today and they had another pair sitting there. It was hard not to walk out with them, or the Bellus pair, or the flames wrasse pair, or the giant labouti wrasse. :)

Some new shots.....

I have a couple of acro colonies that are really starting to take off both in growth and color but I can't seem to get good pictures of them.
