My first RO/DI Unit

I have been looking around to get my first RO/DI unit within the next few weeks (wife is getting me one for my birthday) and have been leaning towards the Typhoon 3 from AW&I.

http://www.airwaterice.com/product/1TYPHOONIII/TYPHOON_III_AQUARIUM_RO_DI_75_or_100_GPD.html

I have seen more than enough good reviews about this product to know that it's a good unit. The EXTREME unit has all the bells and whistles. However, if I order the regular typhoon 3 and purchase the pressure gauge and float valve separate, even with a couple other odds and ends, I will still come under what the price would be for the extreme version. If I am reading the site correctly, the TDS meter is free with both of the units.

Have any of you had any experience with this unit? Are there any other recommendations?

I hate the fact that I just missed the group buy for AWI. Think that they can still help me out?

I have it and it's a great unit. It survived 2 moves and being in storage for over a year to come right up and start working after a fast flush.

i have this also...I don't like puncturing pipes so I didn't use the brass saddle valve - I went with the Y hose adaptor for an extra $9. Overall i like the unit a lot -it's bigger than I expected though.

Yeah, I was planning on getting a hose adaptor. I'm far from a plumber and even with a simple saddle valve, I would end up flooding the state somehow. HAHAHA
