My new baby

When my actinics came on in my tank this morning I nearly choked up. My baby Maxima was gone! The only thing remaining was some pretty yucky looking stuff. I probably should have never picked up a 1" Maxima to begin with, especially since I've read that their survival rate isn't all that good when they are so tiny. I was really upset and sad. :(

Even though everything else in my tank looked good, I tested all parameters and everything was great.

So after contemplating for about 1/10th of a second I decided to take a ride to Aquatic Obsessions. Will, you ROCK!

Without any further delay, please meet my new baby (but this one is 3" :))

Oh, and I fed DT Phytoplankton for the first time, and I saw feeding tenticles I've never seen in my life.

Thanks for looking.

Really nice ... see if you can't get a top down photo of the clam .. top downs always look really good on Crocea and other clams.

Thank you both very, very much.

Mike, I tried taking a photo from above, but my hands were shaking. :-[

Here it the "above" picture. Valium anyone? (<--joke)

Nice!!!! ;D

how long did you have to wait to snap the pic? They usually close up when they sense someone/thing over them. Great pic!

Thanks Phil. I had to wait about 2 minutes or so because each time it was starting to open again and sensed movement from above it would close right back up. Having my arms up over the tank all that time didn't help my attempt to be perfectly still while snapping pictures. :-[
