Came in on a piece of liverock, don't know if it is coral or a pest or something I want to get rid of. Has grown that big in 4 months, don't know what it is. (The red thing.)

While I am sure it is macro, it is not soft to the touch, in fact rather hard. Don't know if that helps or just further confuses.

yes it is a type of macro alge. Most people would put it in their refugium. A tang or foxface/rabbit fish would eat that.

Thank you all for the ID, since I have no algae eating fish in there I will just let it grow out. It adds some nice color to the tank and no one has touched it yet.

It's good Macro Algae. Folks pay money for this so I would recommend keeping it where it is (that is until you get a tang, then it will be gone...)
