Need help with sump

Hello guys,
I was wondering if you guys can help me figure out how to build my sump/refuge i wasn't sure how high/low to put the baffles and does it really matter how they are? i mean i'm going with intake 8.5inxH>refuge 7.5inxH>return 5inxH (10g 20inLx10Wx12H) unless it's better another way but i wasn't sure just though I'd ask before i cut it.

Alright what i'm i doing wrong i cant cut the glass right...
ok i took the scorer blade from one side to the other right on the line i made and then bent it over the side of the table and all it would do is snap the piece my hand was on... am i not pushing as hard as i should?
anyone?

Most use acrylic or get the glass pre cut.
Melev's reef has alot of info on sumps.
You should check it out.
