Wow, really nice pictures. How much difference did you notice with the TC on? Do you notice a big difference in exposure time with the TC? My takes a bit longer on the 18-200.

I'm not sure you'd get to move each of your feet if you tried sneaking off with my cam (or any of its parts) ;D
You lose 2 stops with the TCs from what I understand, but with the Macro lens I'm working on a snails pace anyway with the high F-stop so it really isn't an issue. You need either a steady hand or a tripod.
The 18-200 is a good walk about lens, but not such a great candidate for the TCs. Those are best suited for cams over the 100mm range. I'll use it on my 70-200, but losing 2 stops when you're starting out at 2.8 (fixed aperature v. the variable aperature of the 18-200) isn't the end of the world. I'll only be using it in sunny conditions anyway so that won't be an issue either.
The 105 is a great lens. I have the VR version, but for what we use these for (macro shots) we typically want to be manually focusinig anyway (though the pics above are both autofocus). And between manual focus and a tripod, the need for VR is a bit moot. I'd recommend getting the non-VR version if I were to recommend one, knowing what I know now, unless you were going to use it for handheld portrait work. Why is there always a caviat?!
I love the 150 sigma lens that TwinReef uses. That's a great lens as well (though not being Nikon made gave me enough pause PERSONALLY that I wouldn't buy one, but he can do AMAZING things with it). I chose the TCs for the 105 to get me that extra reach. Of course he can put a TC on the 150 and get to a 300mm macro and the best I'm going to get is 210.
