New Tank Finally Ordered -Update

So, I finally pulled the trigger on my new aquarium. I’ve been looking for close to a year and I just ordered the new tank last Sunday. I was told that if the cabinet and tank were stocked items it would take approximately 3 weeks to come in. I chose to purchase it from a local fish store rather than buying it online to help out the LFS. I wound up purchasing a Tidelines Crystaline G2 (I hate that they put the G2 at the end). See specs below. Tidelines (Planet Aquariums) has a large range of different color stands, which helped with my decision to go the this set up. I went with the Medium Oak, which is the lighter of the two pics. I went with the 20” depth even though the 24” deep tank was the same price. Problem is I don’t think I can fit the 24” deep tank down my basement steps. I did a dry run with PVC and it would have been really tight, if even possible, so I decided not to take a chance on the 24”.

I will post updates to this thread from time to time. Hopefully my next update will be receiving and getting the tank in place. And then maybe an equipment update. Pretty excited. I’ve been wanting a bigger tank ever since I purchased my Red Sea Reefer 250 three years ago, so it’s been a long time coming.

Tank Specs:

Tank Size: 60" L x 20" W x 21" H

Stand Height: 36"

Tank Water Volume: 109 Gallons

Congratulations! I’m also looking for a similar sized tank. Mind sharing cost of everything and where you purchased? Thanks.
Purchased it from Frag 2 Fishes in Wilmington Delaware. They were the closest LFS that sells Tidelines/Planet Aquariums tanks. Reefco in central Jersey sells them also. I paid $2,900.00 after shipping. Thats tank, sump, and stand. You can check them out on aquariumspecialty.com and planetaquariums.com. Planet also lets you put your location in to find the closest reseller.

Quick update on new tank. The tank finally arrived. Took about 2 1/2 months. While I was waiting for the tank to come in I purchased a lid from Top Lids. Pretty expensive but I don’t want fish jumping so I pulled the trigger. I also purchased used Radions from a fellow reefer. I bought 2 XR30’s & 1 XR15 Gen 5’s. That should be enough light for a five foot tank but I have a Radion XR30 Gen 6 on my existing tank that I’ll be taking down. I’m going to see how everything looks and make a decision on whether I’m going to use the XR15 or swap it out for the Gen 6 XR30. If I use the XR15 I’ll sell the XR30 Gen 6 to recoup the lighting purchase. Tank and cabinet are in the garage, next step is clearing out a space in the basement and the hard part will be getting it down there. Next update will be when the tank is in place. Next purchases will be wave makers.
