Newbie here...not starting on a good note [emoji29]

I recently donated to this forum so I figure I might as well get started. I live in Nutley and have maintained a 50 gallon (display) mixed reef for several years. The tank has had many issues, mostly due to equipment failures, and some due to my own negligence. Last week however I was out of country and had a massive failure with my ATO which wiped out the entire tank - fish, coral, everything.

This crash wash the hardest things I’ve had to deal with since EVER being in this hobby. I myself have considered this tank cursed and I’m not looking for to get a new tank. This isn’t a reason to go bigger as I like the size of my tank, but to simply have a new beginning.

I’m currently looking into a Planet Aquariums 36” Crystalline tank. I like the Red Sea tanks but the price is just out of reach at the moment.

If anyone has any recommendations please send them my way along with a bit of good karma.

I do a lot for my fellow reefers simply as a courtesy and being a good person so I’m hoping something comes full circle. Given I’m new to this forum my expectations are not high.

Take some time to enjoy your tank without criticizing it...you’ll miss it when if it’s not there one day (hope it never happens to you).

Are you going to Reef-a-palooza? may be a good thing to go there sometimes the vendors dont wanna take their tanks home and are scratch free so they sell them there.

If I’m around I’m definitely going to try and go. I travel a lot for work so it’s hard to say. Good advice though!!

Ahh, well welcome anyways. I haven't been on the computer much trolling forums, but since my return to doing so i realized there are alot of new tank makers and they are all coming out with sleek designs so hopefully with everyone doing it, the prices will drop.
