ocellaris - can you?

I like the orange ocellaris and the black ocellaris.....I was wondering....could I pair up an orange and a black?....would they get along and become partners, do you think?

this wouldn't be for the purpose of trying to breed them....I just like the looks of both and don't think I can keep two pair, one orange pair and one black pair, in a 55 gallon tank....can I?

They are same species. The black is just a variation. You might be able to keep 2 pairs but more likely, only 1 pair will form and the other 2 will end up being males in waiting.

what are they blennie? i'm thinking of ocellaris shelldwelling african cichlids but i'm sure that's not what yall are talking about.
