Old salt mix question.

So my friend at work brought me a half bucket of salt mix he ha left over from when he lost his tank during sandy. He lives a block away from the beach so he's not going to start a new tank.

Anyway the salt has a ship date to the LFS of 10/01/2010 when I got it had a few large chunks mixes in but I broke them up. Should I use it?

Often chunks mean moisture has gotten to it and that could mean some precipitation. Personally I would toss it. Or if you use it just check your lvls to make sure things are in line after you mix it.

I would toss it not worth the risk of potential problems!!!

Consider it chucked, at least I got a nice bucket

I cleaned out my shed over the weekend and found a couple of half used buckets of salt. Why? I have no idea. I tossed them because they were "chunky".
