Theres actually more to the Story then just green cap ith purple rim. Its dedicated i beleive to a guy who passed away and it was his favorite coral or along those lines. It may not be the nicest frag but u gotta remeber there are still people in the hobby who dont have a green cap with a purple rim.
Bird of Paradise is pretty nice, anything that they release is pretty nice in my opinion.
ORAs newest release is actually just that: a bright green cap (no purple rim)
If I'm not mistaken the other cap (where the diver died) was released the month before that, and before that was "Joe the coral".
I tend to agree with Jonathan, the last 3 releases do seem boring compared to other ones like Pearlberry, Red Planet, Borealis, Purple Plasma, Bellina, etc.
Now if that newest green cap sells for ORA prices, then my jaw will hit the floor. Definitely NOT worth it IMHO.
ORAs corals are pretty hardy, usually maintain their color and fair pretty well - at least in my tank.
Brett's Cap was January. And while it's noble and all to have something like that, I still think it's a terribly boring coral.
March is the Green Cap.
January was a Nepthea. Has anyone even seen it? I haven't.
They really hit the jackpot with some nice acros but since then they have had relatively mediocre stuff. Even the Bird of Paradise is extremely mediocre if you ask me. I prefer the Ocean Gallery Birdsnest to it any day.
