Overflow placement

Ok so I Built my own overflow cali style can anyone help me with where I place it. I need to know how far from the top of the tank I should place it It will be centered in the tank. Just need depth thank all Bobb. Im asking everywhere till I get an answer

In my opinion the water should flow into the box about 1" from the top of the tank. maybe some other reefers will chime in for more opinions

i have mine as high as it can go without spilling . I agree, 1 inch is fine.

well its installed at the bottom of the trim mark looks about right thank everyone. Bobb
