Penductor / Eductor

As I try to be sure I have enough flow in the 120 I'm setting up I came acrosss penductors at a few vendor sites. Since I am too cheap to spend $25 on tiny pieces of plastic without good reason I was wondering if anyone was using them.

Also found this http://www.sdreefs.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23750for a DIY version. Has anyone built one? Looks simple and inexpensive.

Yes, I use them on most of my tanks. It is the best way to increase your flow/volume without sheer. I use them on all of my returns, there is only benefit to them. I have penductors and eductors. The eductors are more powerful and larger and also distribute water more like a tunze would. The penductors are smaller. I like the 1 inch and 3/4. I have some half inch but they arent as effective.

yea, trry to make one. they do well. i made several, but i like the look of the real one. i even made some small ones that go on the output of a powerhead. make sure you get that taper right.
