Hello NJReefers, I am planing on buying a PH monitor. I am also considering to add a Calcium reactor in the future. Does anyone have a coment on a good PH monitor/Calcium reactor controler? All feed backs welcomed. Your inputs would be great. Thank you.
i like pinpoint, get theur ph controller, that way you can set it to turn on the ca reactor when it need to, if you have an endless suply of money, you should get a monitor, so you can monitor the PH value of the ca reactor effluent, makes if ALOT easier to set up.
I was thinking the same thing about my reactor. my reactor is a free flowing one (meaning I don't test the effluent, and if it looks good dripping at a consistent rate, it stays) Since i don't test pH and calcium (anymore), does getting a pH reactor really help it that much? i heard once that with the solenoid turning on and off as the pH rises and falls is detrimental to the CO2 solenoid. Any thoughts on this?
I am looking at a Milwaukee pH controller/monitor as well......
I've had a Milwaukee PH/Orp controller for a little over a year now. It seems to be pretty accurate, and hasn't given me any problems. I do wish it was easier to adjust the levels. The dials they use don't allow for very fine adjustment.
I've got the Orp controlling my ozone generator, but the PH is just monitoring for the moment. I can't justify spending$75+ for a shiny tank that someone takes away and gives me an old crappy one, even if the old one has something in it
